OpenInFSE at Palazzo Vidoni

OpenInFSE project results were presented at Palazzo Vidoni, Rome, on July 4, 2012, in an event that involved the Minister for Public Administration and Simplification, the Minister of Education, Universities and Research and the Minister of Health of the Italian Republic.

The OpenInFSE project was born in an agreement between the Department for the Digitization of Public Administration and Technological Innovation of the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the ICT Department of the National Research Council of Italy.

At the end of the meeting, an interregional interoperability test among the Electronic Health Record systems of Regions Calabria, Campania and Piedmont was performed. The purpose of the demonstration was the interchange of clinical documents among the regional systems, simulating the situation in which the patient of a region needs health services in a region different from that in which he/she resides. The documents exchanged were patient summaries, reports and prescriptions in digital format.
