Architectures and Services for Healthcare
The increasing aging demographic, as well as the growing number of chronic illness is requiring that national healthcare systems will face, in the next future, an impending crisis, as a fixed number of doctors and nurses confront an unexpected explosion in chronic diseases. Moreover, patients facing a potentially life threatening disease are seeking the rapid responses from healthcare systems and operators and, possibly, better plans for treatments.
From one another hand, the wide diffusion of wireless technologies along with the emerging of new devices and sensors are opening a new market of better and more economical healthcare applications.
This research theme aims at defining innovative software services and architectures for providing more effective future healthcare services.
